  19. Under Windows NT, if there is an audio disc in a CD-ROM drive rather
  20. than a data disc, the following misleading error message appears in
  21. File Manager when you try to access the drive either locally or over a
  22. network:

  24.    Incorrect Function
  25.  
  26. This error message may also appear in other applications trying to
  27. access the CD-ROM drive, such as Windows NT Setup. From a virtual
  28. MS-DOS machine (VDM), a different misleading error message appears:

  30.    The system cannot find the drive specified.

  32. RESOLUTION

  35. Replace the audio disc with the desired data disc.

  40. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1
  41. and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this
  42. problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge
  43. Base as it becomes available.
